Press Release 20th January
cinec – International Trade Fair for Cine Equipment and Technology
cinec 2012 - creating success
22 - 24 September 2012
M,O,C, Munich, Germany
What would film be without excellent equipment? In September, the world’s leading manufacturers present their new developments for the 9th time in Munich: Registration for the cinec has started.
At the beginning of the year, Germany’s film sector likes to present success stories. “Germany as a film location is more popular than ever” says Bernd Neumann, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
A success story of a different kind takes place every other year in Munich. The cinec is Europe’s leading international Trade Fair for Cine Equipment and Technology. 173 leading manufacturers from 15 countries presented their novelties two years ago. Right after the beginning of registration in January, 60 exhibitors have already registered for this year’s event from 22nd – 24th September 2012.
One reason for cinec’s success is the location: Munich is the leading center of film technology, productions world-wide rely on equipment from companies such as Arri, Sachtler, P+S Technik, Panther and many more. Thus, cinec has also become a magnet for exhibitors from all over the world – above all from Great Britain and the US with further top brands such as J. L. Fisher, Tiffen or Cooke.
The best innovations are evaluated by an expert jury during the trade show and awarded with the cinecAwards, which belong to the most important awards for cine technology.
With this comprehensive presentation of Camera Technology, Light Equipment, Audio, Grip and Postproduction, cinec sets unrivalled standards. The industry exhibition is accompanied by an extensive programme of presentations and discussions.
Come and see – in the M,O,C, Events Center in Munich from 22nd – 24th September 2012.
