22 -  24 September 2012
M,O,C, Munich, Germany

Only three months to go – at the end of September, the 9th International Trade Fair for Cine Equipment and Technology will begin. 130 exhibitors have already registered by now.

Three months before the cinec 2012, which will take place from 22nd – 24th September, one of the halls of the MOC Events Center is already fully booked and the interest in the event is hardly on the wane. “We are delighted that also at the 9th cinec, market leading exhibitors from all over the world will present their cutting-edge range of offers!” says Angelika Albrecht, managing director of the organizer Albrecht GmbH.

The cinec is an indispensable meeting point for everybody who is engaged in the field of the moving image and displays established as well as new developments in camera technology, camera support / grip, lighting, sound, postproduction, stereo 3D, archiving, data management, equipment, accessories as well as production-related services.

The seminar program with the core topic „The Future of Cinematography“ accompanies the exhibition and will focus on image quality in film and TV this year.
The kick-off event will take place already one day before the start of the cinec with screenings and presentations in the ARRI cinema. The latest research tendencies and their impact on the daily work behind the camera as well as on post production will be shown. What is the right way: high definition or a higher frame rate? How much color does an image need, which modifications are possible and lead to successful results for the viewers?
On Saturday, the focus will be on the status quo of Stereo 3D – three extraordinary 3D productions show how the courage to take risks, creative work and precise use of state of the art technology lead to impressive results.

The Sunday is dedicated to lighting in film and the latest innovations in LED technology. In addition, a workshop dealing with the development of the optimal workflow is planned and will show: scheduling saves money.
On Monday, an outlook will be given on the changes in production and distribution in a digital society, the new approaches in production and the formats of the future.

One highlight of cinec are the cinecAwards. The awards are presented by the Society of CineTechnik Bayern e.V. (CTB, formerly Bavarian Society for the Advancement of Film Technology), and will be awarded to innovative and trendsetting products and developments of the Motion Picture Technology. All exhibitors (and co-exhibitors) of cinec are entitled to take part, application for the Awards is already possible at www.cinec.de.
