STEREO 3D AND MODERN WORKFLOWS
Everyone is talking about films in 3D - for many productions, Stereo 3D is the future. The use of 3D technology seems inevitable when trying to impress a big audience with massive effects. This kind of film production demands a great deal from all areas of film – innovative techniques are required from the preparation of production to the projection technology in the cinemas. However, the new technology also causes new insecurity. Everybody involved from shooting to projection is in need of information. As the leading trade show for Cine Equipment and Technology, cinec provided this information in Munich from 18th – 20th September 2010 with an extensive program of workshops and seminars – hands-on and for all professions:
Cinematographers and editors, postproduction specialists, directors and screenplay writers, set designers, producers and distributors.
This was the core topic for Saturday and Sunday morning (18th/19th September). On Sunday it was also dealt with the topic DCI, the Monday (20th September) was all about workflows and digital archiving - and therefore about the goldmines of the media landscape.
On two days, there were product presentations of different exhibitors in the product forum; Arri offered special presentations on all three days in room K2B.
